Expert Committee: Chemical Medicines Monographs 1
In accordance with section 7.04(c) of the 2015–2020 Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts, this is to provide notice that the Chemical Medicines Monographs 1 Expert Committee intends to postpone indefinitely the omission of the Parachlorophenol monograph from the USP-NF.
Comments were received indicating that the drug substance is referenced in the Camphorated Parachlorophenol monograph, which is needed to support public health.
USP will issue a Revision Bulletin to effectuate this postponement in the near future, and the Parachlorophenol monograph will remain official text of the USP-NF.
