On September 25, 2015, the Compounding Expert Committee pre-posted revisions to General Chapter <797> Pharmaceutical Compounding – Sterile Preparations for public comment. The chapter has been under review since 2010 and the purpose of the revision is to clarify requirements, reflect stakeholder feedback, and incorporate new learnings.
In an effort to answer stakeholder questions, USP held an open microphone web meeting on Wednesday October 21, 2015 to discuss the revisions proposed for General Chapter <797> Pharmaceutical Compounding – Sterile Preparations.
The agenda of the session included:
- An overview of USP
- An overview of the revised content in General Chapter <797>
- Information about how to submit public comments on the revised chapter
- An opportunity for participants to ask questions about the revised chapter
