*As of July 26, 2018, the appeal of the Acetaminophen Tablets monograph outlined in the Notice of Intent to Revise dated June 29, 2018 was resolved. The monograph published in First Supplement to USP 41– NF 36 has been upheld and will become official on August 1, 2018.
In accordance with section 7.04 (c) of the 2015–2020 Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts, this is to provide notice that the Chemical Medicines Monographs 6 Expert Committee no longer intends to revise the Acetaminophen Tablets monograph.
An appeal was received regarding the Organic Impurities section of the Acetaminophen Tablets monograph which was published in the First Supplement to USP 41–NF 36 and is scheduled to become official on August 1, 2018. The Expert Committee had intended to postpone the official date of the Organic Impurities section of the Acetaminophen Tablets monograph pending resolution of the appeal; however, the appeal was resolved before this postponement was published.
