In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts, this is to provide notice that the Small Molecules 2 Expert Committee intends to revise the Metaraminol Bitartrate Injection monograph.
Comments were received indicating that the Identification section in Metaraminol Bitartrate Injection monograph cross-references the previously official Metaraminol Bitartrate monograph, which has since been revised and is no longer suitable for evaluation of Metaraminol Bitartrate Injection. The Expert Committee proposes to revise the Metaraminol Bitartrate Injection monograph to add the full text of the previously official Identification C procedure in Metaraminol Bitartrate monograph (published as the version “official 01-Jan-2018 to 30-Nov-2019”). Additionally, it is proposed to update Identification A and Identification B tests to remove cross references to Metaraminol Bitartrate monograph.
It is anticipated that the proposed revision will be published using suitable revision vehicle at a date to be determined, pursuant to the Rules and Procedures.
