USP is continuing efforts begun in July 2015 to create robust, cross-linked publications with greater connectivity. Starting with the January 25, 2019 monthly posting, USP will be updating the reagents names in monographs and general chapters to match the corresponding reagent entry in the “Regents, Indicators and Solutions” section. These updates are intended to align any reagent names that appear in a monograph or a general chapter undergoing revision with the full official reagent entry names as they appear in the ”Reagent, Indicators and Solutions” section.
Reagent names updates will be performed in conjunction with other revisions to affected monographs, whether these are in-process revisions or accelerated revisions. In all cases, the revised text will be tagged to reflect the reagent reference change.
