In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts, this is to provide notice that the Small Molecules 4 Expert Committee intends to revise the Ioversol monograph.
Comments were received that USP Ioversol Related Compound A RS is chemically the same as USP Iohexol Related Compound B RS. It is proposed to discontinue carrying the USP Ioversol Related Compound A RS in USP Reference Standards inventory, and to replace all references to USP Ioversol Related Compound A RS with references to USP Iohexol Related Compound B RS.
It is anticipated that the proposed revision will be published in the future as an Interim Revision Announcement (IRA) in Pharmacopeial Forum (PF) 46(6) [Nov.-Dec. 2020] pursuant to the Rules and Procedures.
